Robert Jackson

Robert Jackson is an established professional artist living and working in Cheshire. He studied fine art first at college and then at university after finishing his degree he set up studio and has been painting ever since.

Over the past few years Robert's work has evolved from traditional sunset paintings towards metallic textured, abstract art, which like a traditional sunset, attempt to capture light on canvas.

His work is certainly unique and departs from the established concept of abstract art. Both heat and light appear to be fused into the surface of his canvases and his use of metallic paint and texture create works that often change with the ambient light or the viewer's position in relation to the piece. The materials used also depart from preconceptions of painting: Acrylic, metallic paint, gold leaf, copper leaf, ground up metallic fibres, various resins, liquid latex, textured paint, sand, sawdust and bitumen.

Because of Robert's unique style and the eye catching quality of his paintings they are highly collectable and are in both private and corporate collections around the world. All work is original and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
